Maria was born in Bulgaria where she graduated with MA in Fine Arts from the National Art Academy. Than she went to the USA where she was Assistant Professor while working towards another MA in the University of North Dakota. She lived in Montreal for six years, than in Seychelles where she was Advertising Manager of the National telecom followed by two years in Thailand and coming to UK in 2018. Maria has enjoyed taking part in exhibitions on 3 continents and having more than 15 books illustrated or designed by her.

It is the first time she has the chance to paint full time after 25 years experience in advertising and publishing industry.
