This April... We are excited to announce local heroes @saladdaysmarketlondon and @livpurvis to the Mansion for a weekend celebrating brilliant indie businesses. Across Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th, their debut market will feature a curated edit of amazing brands, showcasing vintage fashion and handmade homeware. We are looking for a creative Social Media and Marketing Officer with an interest in culture and events to join our ambitious team. Working across our sites at @copelandparkse and @beckenhamplace, you will help to deliver the social media and marketing strategy, lead on the management of our social media channels and look for creative ways to engage our audiences. Playing an integral role in South London's thriving cultural scene, you'll also support the promotion of our events at Copeland Gallery, the Bussey Building, Copeland Parkโ€™s in-house bar @copelandsocial and @peckhamfestival a free annual arts and culture festival, sponsored by Copeland Park. This year, we have been honoured to connect with inspiring local organisations and collaborate on a number of community focused projects. As we wrap up 2022, we'd like to shine a light on some of their work. ๐Ÿ‘โœจ @hoafprojects an arts organisation that builds bridges between charities and artists, hosted 'Reclaimed' a ceramics workshop in connection with refugee and migrant charities, using clay sourced from the park! ๐Ÿชด Jane Knight and the @successfulmums_ team returned for two career advice coffee mornings. Successful Mums Career Academy helps local mums connect with training, flexible working opportunities or even develop their own businesses. We've also been able to offer our spaces to local charities like @bromleywellyoungcarers who have hosted energetic and enriching experiences for their young people, including a wellness day and a drama workshop. During the Summer months, we were elated to see so many familiar faces returning for our weekly food event Peckish. And closing out September, Lewisham-based @renegadeproductionsltd hosted a screening in the Dining Room. We're back with our Friday Feature series... and for November @artmariarado is taking the spotlight! Maria has had a studio at the Mansion since 2019, where she creates semi abstract artwork often inspired by the surrounding parkland. Most of her canvases are large artwork where she explores the balance and interaction of colours and shapes. You can find her studio on the lower ground floor next to the Mansion cafรฉ and Verso Vintage shop. The studio will be open for visits on 3rd, 10th and 11th of December from 11-4pm.
