Welcome to PECKISH ๐Ÿคค With two weeks to go until the big kick off, we're very excited to announce our food trader lineup for this summer. There'll be some familiar faces as your favourites return, plus some incredible new vendors to try out - all on a rotating roster, because variety is the spice of life. We've got @route66streetfood with their packed Californian burritos ๐ŸŒฏ @sarrasinlondon with delicious sweet and savoury crepes ๐Ÿฅž Our very own @themansionbarcafe serving up their incredible new burger menu ๐Ÿ” @harlem2manila and their mouth-watering BBQ and bao combo โ™จ๏ธ @urban_yak's punchy Nepali-Tibetan rice boxes and noodles ๐Ÿ› AND @thefryingsquad1 with their legendary traditional British fish and chips ๐ŸŸ So, that's dinner sorted every Thursday throughout summer then... and you don't have to pay a penny to get in! Keep your eyes peeled as we'll be announcing the specific traders each week ahead of Peckish. Peckish is back for another year! ๐ŸŽ‰ Your favourite idyllic evening in the park returns, offering globe-spanning cuisines, expertly curated soundtracks and delicious drinks, all from our hand-picked selection of excellent food traders, DJs, as well as our brand new bar! We are looking for a creative Social Media and Marketing Officer with an interest in culture and events to join our ambitious team. Working across our sites at @copelandparkse and @beckenhamplace, you will help to deliver the social media and marketing strategy, lead on the management of our social media channels and look for creative ways to engage our audiences. Playing an integral role in South London's thriving cultural scene, you'll also support the promotion of our events at Copeland Gallery, the Bussey Building, Copeland Parkโ€™s in-house bar @copelandsocial and @peckhamfestival a free annual arts and culture festival, sponsored by Copeland Park. This year, we have been honoured to connect with inspiring local organisations and collaborate on a number of community focused projects. As we wrap up 2022, we'd like to shine a light on some of their work. ๐Ÿ‘โœจ @hoafprojects an arts organisation that builds bridges between charities and artists, hosted 'Reclaimed' a ceramics workshop in connection with refugee and migrant charities, using clay sourced from the park! ๐Ÿชด Jane Knight and the @successfulmums_ team returned for two career advice coffee mornings. Successful Mums Career Academy helps local mums connect with training, flexible working opportunities or even develop their own businesses. We've also been able to offer our spaces to local charities like @bromleywellyoungcarers who have hosted energetic and enriching experiences for their young people, including a wellness day and a drama workshop. During the Summer months, we were elated to see so many familiar faces returning for our weekly food event Peckish. And closing out September, Lewisham-based @renegadeproductionsltd hosted a screening in the Dining Room. 'Our Park' is a short documentary film exploring community connection @ourpark_bpp and shot in part during the pandemic. ๐ŸŽฌ๐ŸŽž If you are local community-focused organisation looking for a flexible space in a beautiful South London park, please get in touch via events@beckenhamplace.org ๐Ÿ›
