The buildings of Beckenham Place Park are taking part in Open House London.
There will be open access to the Mansion, Artists Studios, and the newly restored homesteads buildings. There will also be exclusive access to parts of the buildings not usually open to the public, including the Mansion attic and the newly restored gardener’s cottage.
There will be talks about the Homestead restoration and the lake, and Georgian dancing in the stableyard courtyard (weather permitting). No need to book in advance – turn up on the day, although numbers are limited for some of the talks / areas, so it will be a first come, first served system and you may have to wait for a space.
- Artists’ Open Studios in the Mansion, capacity 30 at a time.
- Homesteads restoration talk by the heritage architect every 60 mins (12pm-4pm), max 30 per talk. Meet in the Homesteads courtyard.
- Meet the designer – walking tour of the formal gardens and pleasure grounds to the lake at 1pm, 2.30pm, 4pm (Max 30 per tour). Meet at the Homesteads in the courtyard.
- Period Georgian dancing performance in the stableyard courtyard at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
