Connecting with the Spine

19th October 2019 @ 14:30 - 17:00

£25 – £30

The spine; an amazing, complex, intricate structure central to all movement and vital functions of the body. So fantastic in architecture and function but so often compressed and worn down with modern day living.

This interactive workshop will build on key themes from the first workshop but with greater focus and detail on:

  1. The breath and it’s intimate relationship with spinal posture, the nervous system and stability muscles.
  2. Fascia and key considerations when moving.
  3. Other body parts (principally feet and hands) and their influence on spinal movement.

We will recap some of the key learning points from workshop 1 so attendance of workshop 1 is not a pre-requisite for coming to workshop 2. These workshops are aimed at increasing awareness of how the spine moves and for you to be more attuned and confident in moving in a safe and intelligent way. They are not specifically designed for people with back pain or dysfunction but those with injuries are more than welcome; I will just ask we communicate about your needs prior to the session. It will be a small group and involve a mix of discussion and practice so it can be as interactive as possible.

Cost £25 earlybird (before 15th September) / £30
