The great women artists of the 20th Century

Any list of revolutionary women in music can’t help but fall spectacularly short.

This concert will not be an occasion to list the most successful female musicians of the 20th century, although many here were/are extremely successful, but to think of women who have had a profound effect on the history of music.

This journey into the history of music from 1910s to 1970s will be an occasion to reread the great classics of jazz, blues and pop in the light of the ambitions, dreams and creativity of those female singers, songwriters and musicians that have created eternal classics.
