You must have completed one of our Learn to sew workshops or courses (or equivalent) In this Workshop we take a Really Basic Skirt Pattern and adapt it to your personal fit. Using a standard pattern you will learn plenty of skills and techniques to help you build your confidence.
What you will learn:
- Understanding and using commercial dressmaking patterns
- Size and Fit to your own personal measurements
- Fabric information
- Laying out, Pinning, marking and cutting out
- Preparation and essential sewing skills
- Seams and allowances
- Hemlines and finishing
What you make:
Slim or A-line skirt (unlined) with a choice of styling options (simplified for the level of the class but the Pattern included in this class you can adapt and create more options including adding a lining on another make)
