Samhain Gong Bath
24 October @ 18:00 - 19:30
Hurrah! We are still standing and 2020 is slowly coming to a close (thankfully)!
What a year has it been! Our world has been turned upside down and we are far from returning back to “normal”, whatever that meant in the first place.
I am beyond excited to be able to welcome you back in a physical space. And what a magical space it is! Beckenham Place Mansion. A grand, old building with an adjoining park right around the corner from the New Beckenham train station. And what better way to welcome the colder, darker and more mysterious autumn days, than allowing ourselves to be fully emerged in the mystical sounds of the gong.
We will celebrate the upcoming Pagan festival of Samhain or as it is more commonly known as Halloween. We will honour our ancestors, those who have come before us and ask for their guidance and support. Our evening together will involve some light & relaxing breathing exercises, a guided meditation and a magical gong/sound journey.
I encourage you to come with an open heart & mind. The vibrations of the gong will wash through your body, while you chill out on the yoga mat and allow the experience to unfold. The gong, with its mighty roar and gentle whisper, helps us to tap into our innate wisdom and stillness within.
Gongs are ancient instruments that have been used for rituals & ceremonies for many centuries. When played, they produce a wide array of harmonics and hauntingly beautiful melodies, which can lower our brainwaves into Theta state and aid our healing journey. There is no right or wrong way to feel during the experience and some of you might see visuals, while others feel a deep sense of relaxation & calm. Long forgotten emotions and feelings, might also be triggered and brought to the surface to heal and integrate. Embrace them!
COVID SAFETY NOTE AND EQUIPMENT:
Spaces are limited in order to guarantee everybody’s safety and adhere to social distancing rules. Please bring your own yoga mat, blanket, cushion, eye pillow, some water. The mansion can get cold in the winter, so please dress comfortably, in layers with thick socks.
Please wear a face mask upon entering the mansion. I will check everybody’s temperature before you enter the Old Library event room at the back of the mansion. Once you put down your yoga mat and create a cozy nest, feel free to take your mask off. Please use the hand sanitizers provided in the restroom and wash your hands thoroughly. Please also have some hand sanitizer with you.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the session begins and avoid being late, as late-comers cannot be admitted. There is no reception desk in the mansion and once the session is in flow and I am playing the gong, there cannot be any interruptions. Thank you!
A limited number of 20£ Early Bird tickets are available up until the 16th of September. Thereafter the general admission will be 25£ (incl booking fee).
Gong baths are not recommended for pregnancies in the first trimester, individuals with pacemakers/metal implants, epilepsy, or any form of a serious mental health condition. By purchasing your ticket, you confirm that you have read and understood these conditions.
