Join Marina Beard a resident artist at The Mansion for this fun and relaxing online workshop suitable for Teens & Adults where you will experiment with altering a written page. Working on the principle of zero waste, you can choose your piece of text from something lying around the house. With just a biro and a pencil, you will have fun creating a beautiful image to frame or gift.
What you learn:
Use of pattern and shape in monochrome.
You will decide on how to pick out your chosen words and illustrate your page to highlight the text using repeated pattern and shape so that at the end of the session you will have a unique illustrated page with a whole new meaning which is personal to you.
What you make: a monochrome piece of artwork to display
We Provide: You will need (for online)
- Upcycled text – you could use a sheet of music, an old book page, a hand-written letter or even a Farrow and Ball colour chart – like the one I picked up.
- pencil & biro (preferably black or matched to your text)
