Kath’s practice is tactile, embodied, and socially sensitive. She operates in spaces where meanings are fluid and boundaries remain undefined, exploring our desire to control shifting identities. Working across drawing and textiles, Kath investigates the challenge of living through transitional times. She embraces the everyday by repurposing pre-consumer waste wet-wipes, second-hand yarns, and discarded clothing—using found materials to construct new layers of meaning.
For Kath, the repetitive motion of stitching acts as a generative act, from which new forms emerge. Her work exposes women’s hidden labour and the subtle ways inequality manifests from within, holding sustainability at its core to transform the waste of modern life into objects that sit precariously between beauty and waste. She has a MA Textile with Distinction from Chelsea UAL.
Alongside her studio practice, Kath is an experienced Head of Art and Photography at a London secondary school.
